- Local Tip: If you're visiting with a stroller, use Walkway 13. It’s the widest and most accessible path down to the sand.
Since Postiguet is the city’s main beach, you can reach it on foot from almost anywhere in the center, but here are the most efficient ways:
- On Foot: If you are in the Old Town (Casco Antiguo) or on the Explanada, you are already there. Just walk towards the sea and cross the road at the traffic lights near the Melia Hotel or the City Hall.
- By TRAM: > * Take Line 5 and get off at the "Puerta del Mar" stop (it’s right at the beginning of the beach).
- Or take Lines 1, 2, 3, or 4 to the "Market" stop and walk 5-7 minutes downhill towards the coast.
- By Bus: Almost every central bus line stops here. The most popular are 2, 5, 21, and 22. Look for the "Puerta del Mar" or "Playa Postiguet" stops.
- From the Airport: The C6 bus stops right across the street from the beach at "Puerta del Mar," making it possible to hit the sand within 30 minutes of landing.

- Lockers: During the summer months, you can often find temporary locker services near the main access points to safely store your belongings while you swim.
